CAPITAL KEY CLUB
Our Capital Key Club has been busy organizing and planning many events to help support our community. In the fall students created a Halloween Carnival for kids at a local shelter and participated in Rake Up Boise.
- The Halloween Carnival brought the students together with local families by providing a fun event for kids to dress up, play games, and get some candy.
- Key Club participated in Rake up Boise this fall! Students signed up for 2 medium sized houses. We started the day with eating some doughnuts, fruits, and drinking juice. We were raking and bagging leaves until 10:30. Everyone who attended had a blast!
Key Club volunteers are currently working on several big projects around the school. Please consider donating or even purchasing a Candy Gram to have sent to a student or staff member at our school. More information below:
One Community - One Community is a travel size hygiene drive that is running from November 28th-December 8th. The drive's supplies are being donated to Interfaith Sanctuary. There are collection sites for the drive in the main foyer and in the library. The drive has 6 parts to the project, a drive at: Capital, other Boise School District Schools, City Hall, & religious organizations, along with partnering with corporations to collect supplies and fundraising. We are hoping to get around 400lbs worth of hygiene supplies this year!
Toy Drive - Key Club is putting on a Toy drive! The donated toys will be given to the Freedom Youth Foundation. The drive is running from November 28th-December 8th. Collection sites are in the One Community boxes (main foyer and library). We are hoping to collect 30 or more toys!
Candy Grams -
Key Club is selling Candy Grams during the holiday season! We are selling the treats from December 4th to Thursday, December 14th. We are selling candy canes (2 candy canes for $2) and candy sleighs (one sleigh for $5). The treats will be delivered to their recipients December 19th and 20th. All of the proceeds go to CAPITAL FAMILIES in need this winter. Please buy some Candy Grams!
