IDAHO ENTREPRENEUR CHALLENGE
Congratulations to Anthony Donegan and Aiden Brown for placing at the Idaho Entrepreneur Challenge this past Friday. They did a wonderful job representing Capital in a very competitive field of young entrepreneurs.

MR CHS VARIETY SHOW
Our Annual Mr. CHS Variety Show is on Wednesday, Feb 7th from 6:00-7:00 pm. It will be held in the auditorium and free admission will be offered to all students, parents, and teachers. Come watch the senior boys compete for the title of Mr. CHS as they compete in trivia, a fashion show, and a dance battle. We will also have performances from the Volare choir, the band, and a preview from our all school musical the "Newsies"
FEBRUARY FORMAL
Capital High School's February Formal is officially on the books! It will be held at Expo Idaho in the premium building from 7:30-10:00pm on February 24th. Tickets will be sold for $10 each beginning on February 21st. This dance is designed for couples and for groups of friends and it is open to all grade levels.
3RD THURSDAY PLANETARIUM SHOWS
As part of the Julius Jeker Planetarium public outreach initiative, we are proud to provide FREE planetarium shows most 3rd Thursdays of the month. Our next program will be

On Thursday there will be two shows- a special performance at 4:00 for students and staff with special $8 admission. Second show is regular pricing.
BAND INFO
Congratulations to the Capital High Percussion Ensemble! They were selected to perform at the Idaho Music Educators State Conference! If you would like to hear all the wonderful music they are playing, you can come to the Percussion Ensemble Concert on March 14th at Capital High School!
BAND CONCERT:

Jazz ensemble, percussion ensemble and symphonic bands will all be performing and will be joined by incoming 9th graders.
WINTER JAZZ CLUB NIGHT:
February 20th at 7:00 PM
Come experience our own Capital Style speakeasy night of Jazz. Tickets will be $10 and can be purchased from a band student or by emailing casey.lindorfer@boiseschools.org

ATHLETICS
SOFTBALL
Softball tryouts are February 23rd at 3:30 and the 24th at Noon.
They will be held inside or outside depending on the weather, so be prepared for both.
Also, you need to have your Activate Portal done and a physical for 9th and 11th grade.
TRACK

STUDENT PARKING PERMITS
PARKING PERMIT
Students parking at Capital must have a 2023-2024 parking permit present in vehicle. Parking Tickets will be issued to any vehicle parked at Capital that does NOT have a parking permit visible in vehicle.
Parking Permit $15.00 (Please bring: car registration, drivers license & proof of insurance to the bookroom. A parking permit will be issued to each student for one vehicle.)
Please do NOT park in numbered spots, those are reserved for Capital Staff. Please do NOT park in RESERVED PARKING SPOTS (marked with signs). You will be ticketed!
