PSAT SCHEDULE Wednesday, October 11, 2022
Sophomores & Juniors are taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT) on Wednesday, October 11th. This is an essential step on their path to college and beyond. *We want to emphasize the importance of these assessments because they are used in many important ways, including: college admission, scholarship awards, and to demonstrate college and career readiness. Please encourage your student(s) to be present for the testing and to give their best effort.
What to bring to testing:
Your school ID - Once seated, your ID should be on your desk for the proctor to see. If you do not have one, please see the business office prior to the day of the test to purchase a replacement.
Charged Chromebook and Charger - A school district Chromebook is required for the test and must be fully charged. If your student does not have theirs, they need to get a replacement from the library before test day.
Approved calculator - This is optional and must be provided by the student and cannot be shared. For a list of approved calculators, go to: approved calculators
*Please leave all other electronic equipment, including cell phones, in vehicles or lockers as they are not allowed in the testing environment.
Juniors & Sophomores
7:30-7:45 AM Juniors and sophomores report to assigned testing locations. THIS IS NOT A LATE START DAY.
11:00 AM Test Completion
There are no afternoon classes- teachers will hold office hours for students who need support in reassessing, work completion, etc. Buses will depart at the regularly scheduled time of 3:07 pm.
All Senior students will be staying home for a day of asynchronous learning where they can use the day to complete any missing assignments, study for upcoming tests and/or complete assigned work.
If you have any questions about test day, please contact your student’s Counselor.
AP Test Registration
"It is officially AP season! AP test registration will begin October 11th and continue through November 1st. Please see the form that your students will be receiving from their AP teachers that week. We realize it's early, but we need an accurate count this year because fees are returning. Any exam ordered AFTER November 1st will incur a $40 late fee. Cancelled exams after November 1st and no show exams (on the day of the exam in May) will also incur a $40 fee. Advanced Opportunities does pay for most AP exams, which is a $98 savings. Please see your AP teacher, counselor, or AP coordinator for questions."
