Welcome Back, Eagles!

I wanted to reach out and say HELLO to all our new families and welcome back to everyone returning to Capital this year. We are so glad to have you all here.

My name is Mrs. Nicole Chojnacky and I am the full-time College and Career Counselor here at Capital High. I am here to assist your students as they navigate their future after high school. Please reach out with questions throught the school year, I am here to help!

Seniors

We have a busy year ahead of us.

  • Applying for schools and programs
  • Sending transcripts
  • Applying for scholarships
  • Finalizing all your plans for after graduation

All of your important information will be given in English and American Government. Make sure you stay up to date and Visit the Career Center if you need help!

Juniors

This year is all about getting yourself ready for senior year. What can you do now that will help you be ready?

  • Write Essays
  • Apply for scholarships/make lists for next year
  • Visit colleges and training programs
  • Be intentional about classes you choose
  • Look into DTEC certifications before you leave Capital

Senior year is a busy time. Make the most of Junior year to make next year easier!

Sophomores

This year is all about finding out what Capital has to offer, exploring your interests:

  • Grades matter- they can get you $
  • Join clubs or sports
  • Get involved in the community
  • Try new classes to find your interests

Scholarships

You can find scholarships everywhere. To help students and families, we have created a giant list of scholarships organized by when they are due. Each year scholarships change and we do our best to keep it updated. Please check the link for the most current information on scholarships. You can also visit the scholarship page on my website.
